Lacy & Alistair ENGAGED {Lubbock Photographer}

I have to say Lacy and Alistair are one of my very favorite couples. I had a great great time with them. I am so excited to tell everyone their story. (It’s an amazing story by the way.) =)

Here is how it goes:

Lacy and Alistair met in 2010 while they were both playing soccer at LCU. They both sustained injuries and were in and out of the training room constantly. That is when they started to be friends. They were both goalkeepers.

What makes their story unique? Alistair is actually from Scotland. Who would have thought that they would ever meet!? I think that is just amazing.

Lacy emailed me back in November. She was interested in an engagement session. I meet with them right before Christmas and I just fell in love with them. They just seemed to fit together like peanut butter and jelly =). Our session was scheduled January 2, 2012. Here is the proposal on video!!!

Now, on to the session!!!

AND…ONE MORE THING!!!

The rest of the session on slideshow =)

(please be patient as it loads)

Heather & Justin Married {Lubbock Wedding Photographer}

Approximately 4-5 years ago I met Heather at a gallery called “Hard Tops”. It was the First Friday Art Trail. We were both showing our photography. I remember chatting with Heather for quite sometime. It was my first art gallery and I couldn’t have been more excited.

THEN, back in July or August (I can’t remember, I’ve slept since then) I received an email from her telling me she was getting married and needed a photographer.

Our initial meeting I just feel in love with them. Heather and Justin actually own a business called “Dirty Deeds Soup” you should definitely check them at at https://www.facebook.com/DirtyDeedsSoaps or their etsy shop at

(Their soaps are awesome by the way!) They were so sweet to give me a scrub bar the day I met with them so that I could try it! And I LOVE it!!

I feel in love with the way they looked at each other, Justin’s long beard, Heather’s twinkle in eyes when she looked at him. They have such a genuine love for each other and that I could tell from just the first meeting.

It couldn’t have been a better day for their wedding. I loved every detail from the rolled programs that were held by crates they made, to the fall colored leaves the flower girls threw down, and to the reception details.

BUT my VERY favorite part of the day was the “First site” It could not have been more perfect!! (You will see why!)

(Check her BEAUTIFUL bouquet and dress!)

Rolled programs in handmade crates!

Bride and Grooms cake.

Handmade boutonnieres.

First site…

Blending of 2 families.

After the ceremony we were all going to do some more fun photos. For some reason I look at this photo bellow and think they are dancing.

Love Heather’s facial expression!!!

Granny cut in on the first dance!!! It was too hilarious!

And the getaway!!!

Needless to say I had such a great time at this wedding. Thank you so much to Heather and Justin for letting capture such a perfect day!!! I wish you all the very very best!!!

Meredith & Brandon Engaged {Lubbock, TX Photographer}

We could have not chosen a better day for this session!

Meredith emailed me about possibly photographer her session on June 2, 2012. BUT I had already booked that date. SO, she opted for a “save the date” session! I had so much fun with this couple.

She even brought along this scrabble board made in the 70s and she even MADE the cute chalkboard signs!

FUNNY FACE TIME!!! HEHE!

Gore/McMillan Family

I remember this day very well. It was the day that Texas Tech and A&M played their LAST game against each other.

So I was sporting my Blackout Texas Tech shirt.

I had been chatting with Amanda for about a couple of weeks about this session. They are an incredibly sweet family. All the little girls were just the cutest! And I fell in love with Amanda’s parents.

Here is their session!
